Living with Parents…

Posted in health at 8:07 pm by James

I guess I’m not the only one. 30% Chinese adults live with parents. This report was taken in China. It mentions 6 main groups of live-at-home people:

1. College grads with high expectations of a job
2. Laziness (less work req’d)
3. Start-up dreams, refuse to work for others
4. Job-hoppers
5. job comparers. People looking for a job better than the last.
6. Unskilledm physical laborers

While I partially do fit in the 2nd category, I do it because its convient. If i was living on my own, I would still be doing about the same. Instead of eating my mom’s cooking, I would go out to eat at a restaurant, or take take-out. Heck, thats what I do right now when my mom is busy or not at home.

A good reason I live at home- which is not included in the article, is that I want to be around to help my parents if they need anything. Its nice to have other people around…

Amish Use of Technology

Posted in health, internet at 9:42 pm by James

I found this article on wired.com about the amish and techology. The article is very insightful about the role of technology in the life of the amish. Does it bring people together or keep them apart?
