I figured out that it may be the easiest to not migrate the database but just to move the files out of the way of wordpress and use .htaccess to keep the urls:

[...] The difficult part of all of this was figuring out how in the world I would bring over all my old data, my old blog posts! I had over 160 posts, and there was no way I was going to lose those. After some searching I finally found http://james.onegoodcookie.com/?p=32 which is a plugin for Wordpress that will automatically convert your NucleusCMS database into a Wordpress database! All I had to do was install wordpress and make an SQL database for it, and then import my old NucleusCMS database into my Wordpress database and then run the script. After all that I can delete my old NucleusCMS database. [...]

Hi there,
I can't download the script to try porting my Nucleus blog over to WP. Could you send the file to my email (ashotiwoth AT gmail DOT com) or maybe you could check on your file link? Thanks a bunch! :)

Hi,

The link to the script comes up file not found. Is there anyway you would be able to send me the script?

A quick note, as I last weekend ported my blog from Nucleus to WordPress. If there are entries with identical titles, the script ports only the first.

Hi there, I am using Wordpress 1.5 with debian sarge and I can run Wordpress fine, but when I try to run your import script from nucleus, I receive the following error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR, expecting ']' in /usr/share/wordpress/wp-admin/import-nucleus.php on line 326

I realize your script is for version 1.2 of Wordpress. Is there something you can help me with to make this compatible??

Thanks!

There seems to be something rotten with the code. Some of the queries seem to get their quotes converted to "EOF" or "<<<EOF".
