Spermicide is dangerous

I was doing a bit of house cleaning, and i stumbled upon some notes i took from a health magazine: nonoxynol-9 (spermicide) can cause vaginal tears and thus increase a woman’s risk of contracting STDs (ie HIV, etc).

This article states:” frequent use of nonoxynol-9 can result in genital irritation and ulceration and may consequently lead to higher rates of HIV-1 infection.”
